A story universe designed
for co-creation.
A Note on Co-Creation
Entertainment universes are rarely sustained by one person or one company alone. Major franchises expand through licensed games, merchandise, comics, films, studio partnerships, and commissioned creative work. That model has produced some of the most successful worlds in culture.
The difference we are exploring is where that openness sits in the system.
Most large IP universes (movies, games, comics, etc) invite outside builders after the universe has already exploded into massive scale.
Kusho itself is a grand experiment on an alternative premise: that an entertainment story universe can scale competitively if it is designed to let others write into it, build on top of it, and earn a real stake in what it becomes.
By design, we created the Expanded Universe Protocol (EUP), our “how we work” for building Kusho’s expanded universe with serious contributors: artists, writers, developers, and operators who want to create more stories, infrastructure, products, and community, and share the value that’s gained.

Our Ecosystem Flywheel
The Expanded Universe Protocol (EUP)
The Expanded Universe Protocol (EUP) is Kusho’s operating protocol for building an expanded universe with contributors.
The flywheel depicts how contributor creations delivers a compounding scaling effect [see diagram A]. (1) foundational world canon gives story and distribution to build from, (2) contributors build on that foundation and use IP popularity for distribution to validate, (3) the strongest work gains and shares value, (4) collective value enriches the ecosystem for repetition.
the protocol in detail is under internal development, intended for publishing over time
01
World Canon
Lore, distribution, characters, rules, and history give builders a shared foundational source.
02
Contributors Build
Creators, developers, and operators ship stories, infra, products for the universe.
03
Work Gains Value
Strong work earns attention, revenue, reputation, or canon integration.
04
Ecosystem Expands
The best contributions enrich the ecosystem for all builders.
Ecosystem expands, then feeds the next build.
